AI-generated images

We use AI-generated images for editorial illustrations and some visual quiz guides. These images help explain styles, choices and concepts. They are illustrative examples and do not document specific products, people or outcomes.

What the quiz collects

The quiz collects your selected answers about ring preferences, everyday routine and budget. It does not require a photo, name, email address or account. Your draft answers are kept in your browser session so you can go back and edit them.

When you request a result, your answers are sent to our service to generate and store your profile. The service runs on Cloudflare. Normal hosting and security processing may involve technical request information such as your IP address.

Private profiles and retention

Unpaid profiles are kept for up to 30 days. Paid profiles and plan access are kept for up to 365 days. You can delete a profile sooner using “Manage saved answers” on its result page. Deletion removes the saved answers and report access, including access to a purchased plan. Download a copy first if you want to keep it.

Access uses a private token stored in your browser session. A saved private link includes that token. Anyone who has the full private link can open your profile and plan. Keep it private; do not post it publicly.

Local evidence records

Measurement, concept-review or real-product comparison records stay in local browser storage. You can export, import and clear them in the record tool, and explicitly attach a draft to a paid brief on the same device. They are not sent to our servers, AI providers or analytics, do not personalize the generated report, and are not included in its private access link. Downloads and printed copies remain under your control. Clearing a record does not delete downloaded copies.

Notes on your plan

The comparison notes log is saved in your browser’s local storage. Those notes are not sent to our server. Clearing browser data removes them. A PDF or printed copy that you create is under your control.

Hand photos and AI ring previews

The optional ring try-on accepts a photo you take or select. Your browser resizes it and re-encodes it as JPEG before upload, discarding the original file metadata. The photo stays in the current tab until you select “Create this ring look” and agree to processing. The selected photo, ring style and placement are then sent through our Cloudflare service to Google's Gemini API to generate the preview. Do not include other people or private documents in the image.

We do not write these photos or generated previews to our database, public image storage or application logs. Originals and results are held in this tab's memory; “Remove photo & looks” or leaving the page clears them from the tool. A file you download remains on your device. Removing a photo does not cancel processing already received by the provider. Google's own security and service retention rules apply to its processing; see Gemini API terms.

To limit abuse and generation costs, we keep daily request counts and a short running-request lock. The connection identifier is a daily salted hash of the IP address, not the raw address, and is not linked to your quiz or payment profile. Scheduled cleanup removes these records once they are more than two calendar days old. Preview images are approximate AI visualizations, not measurements, product photos or predictions of fit.

Payments

If you buy a plan, the payment provider handles checkout and payment details. We do not store card details. Financial order records are retained separately from quiz answers for payment administration and record keeping. Deleting your profile does not erase the provider’s payment records.

How people find a useful result

On public pages, this browser tab remembers only a broad entry topic and source category: a recognized search service, What Colors Suit Me, another referral, or direct access. This uses session storage, not a tracking cookie. We do not save the page URL, URL parameters, full referrer, exact search terms, private links or access tokens in attribution.

When you complete the quiz, those two categories are saved with the profile, together with a country code supplied by Cloudflare when available. We do not copy an IP address into the profile or attribution. A checkout date and verified payment or refund status let us compare completed profiles and their outcomes in aggregate. One profile counts once even if it has multiple orders. These counts describe saved profiles, not distinct people.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable this attribution and browser activity counting. A signal clears the tab’s stored attribution; the next authenticated result, report or checkout request also clears attribution already attached to that profile. The free quiz, private result and purchases still work. Profile deletion or expiry removes its attribution. Necessary hosting, security and separate financial records continue to support the service. Optional Google Analytics 4 loads only if you accept it.

Analytics and marketing

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to analyze usage data. Google Analytics may receive your browser's IP address and technical metadata if you accept this optional analytics. We do not send uploaded photos, quiz answers, names, emails, private report URLs, full referrers or URL query parameters to Google. This consent does not grant permission for ad personalization or marketing. You can revoke this optional analytics choice in the site footer. We also maintain separate first-party logs for product functionality. We do not sell quiz answers or use them to send marketing email.

We keep daily totals of activity such as quiz starts, completed profiles, offers viewed and paid orders to understand how the service is used. These activity counters do not contain your answers, name, email address or a visitor identifier. They count actions, so they do not tell us how many distinct people used the site.

With analytics consent, we count fixed guide-to-sample, sample-to-quiz, sample-view and plan-view milestones. This tab also stores a quiz-completion timestamp to recognize a paid-plan information-page visit within 15 minutes. It contains no answers or worksheet contents. The timestamp is removed when checked, when analytics is rejected, or normally when this tab closes (browser session restore can retain it); expiry is checked on use rather than by a background deletion timer. Private reports and photo-tool pages remain excluded from Google Analytics.
